COLLAGE, A4

Vladimir. A story told by my friend Katya from Moscow:

“I stepped off the train, and he was sitting at the bus stop, vigorously polishing his shoes. It was so unusual that I stopped to watch. His shoes were too light for the weather, a bit torn, but absolutely clean. Catching my gaze, he said he couldn’t afford different shoes but wasn’t upset. Because, to him, the main thing was that his shoes were clean.”

Katya bought Vladimir a new pair of shoes.
