Driftwood Project

is a series of unique handmade objects created from driftwood collected by me along the seashore.

The project is built around small animal figures. Each piece begins with the natural shape of the found wood — I do not carve or force the material into a predetermined form. The sea, time, and water shape the wood first; my role is to observe, combine, and reveal the character already present.

Every object is one of a kind and cannot be replicated. Each piece of driftwood carries its own history, texture, and movement, formed by nature and time.

This project explores transformation — turning discarded natural material into expressive objects with personality. These are souvenirs with character: slightly naive, slightly ironic, and shaped by the traces of their previous life.
